Instructor: Cynthia Woodruff, U.S. EEOC Outreach Manager| EEOC Commission

This orientation is the first step in our efforts to assist you in finding employment. Our counselors help participants develop their career plans, address emotional issues which may impact employment, build problem-solving skills to help overcome logistical obstacles, prepare resumes and provide referrals to land the right job. We also provide on-going assistance to help participants make their life change which will promote success.

Our guest speaker for the orientation is a Field Investigator for the U.S. EEOC Commission. She will discuss and focus on EEOC laws and how to file charges of discrimination, and will be facilitated by a U.S. EEOC Outreach Manager. The EEOC is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of the person’s race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), and national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.

Advanced Registration is Required for All Workshop Participation
